AirAsia India on Wednesday organized a special patch flight for prominent personalities in Delhi, to give them a special AirAsia India on board flight experience.


The special flight was on the aircraft VT JRT named The Pioneer; the aircraft dons a special livery dedicated to JRD Tata, celebrating JRD Tatas contribution to the Indian aviation industry.

The special flight for distinguished guests was organized a day prior to the launch of commercial operations to give the special guests a preview of AirAsia India on board experience. AirAsia India is set to operate its first commercial flight from Delhi on May 21.


The aircraft The Pioneer - A Tribute to JRD Tata was graced with the presence of eminent personalities like Non-Executive Chairman, AirAsia India Ramadorai, AirAsia India Board Member Arun Bhatia , AirAsia India CEO, Mittu Chandilya.


Speaking on this occasion, Mittu Chandilya, CEO, AirAsia India said, We are very excited to step into Delhi.
